Mine That Rock
Our Story
The Founder
Hi, I'm Jennifer Dunivin, the founder of "Mine That Rock". I have been picking up rocks ever since my Granny showed me my first agate. I was four, and as I aged the fun gravel road walk became a full blown obsession. Now that I am older, I enjoy traveling to add new areas to learn about the hobby and gathering new specimens. Although, I will admit that I have become more selective on what I make my poor truck haul.
I spend most of the spring and summer on the road at various rock hounding, pay-to-dig mines, BLM public lands, and abandoned mine sites across the United States. During the Fall and Winter, I wait for the snow to melt while working in my mobile rock shop cutting, shaping, and prepping my finds for the website.
The rock shop inventory, and all my lapidary equipment travels with me. So have no fear if you order during my travel time, I can still work specimens, and ship them out. If you ever see us in the wild, feel free to say hello and check out our mobile rock shop!!
The Helpers
Where ever I go my two furry helpers tag along. WaggyMaggy and Wenzella Grumbles are well seasoned road dogs, and ride through the rough back roads without fear. Well, except for snakes..
We meet various friends and family our hunts, and together we hit up rock hound sites, mines, and middle of no-where rock fields just so you can "Mine that Rock" with us..
