UV Reactive Calcite. Simply perfect little specimen of Honey Calcite.  Lovely White Glow to blades in Long Wave UV. Approximately 1" long x 1" wide x 1" high. This specimen weighs 28 grams

Shown wet and in natural daylight. Museum quality, beautiful little piece of honey calcite. Nice large plates surrounded by millions of tiny crystal sprays. Pictures don't do this one justice!! Shelf and UV room ready. Guaranteed to be an all natural specimen, mined in the Needles Mountain area of Colorado. Newly discovered area on private land. EXCLUSIVE mineral to Mine That Rock. We are working with the landowner to obtain more material, and with a geologist to further identify this material. 

Please note, Calcite is a very soft and fragile crystal which maybe difficult to work for non-experienced lapidary artists. Some calcite specimens may contain minerals that are harmful to touch, or inhale if worked. Use of proper lapidary tools (wet saw, wet sanders, diamond polishers, tumblers, respirators, etc) maybe required.  DO NOT allow specimen to come into contact with ANY type of acid, or cleaning solutions. 

Color may vary slightly from photos due to lighting, reflections, and monitor settings.

    All our specimens are 100% natural and untreated. Some specimens have been placed in an acid solution to remove staining only. Natural specimens will vary in color and detail, depending on lighting and monitor settings.  We will not refund items due to color variation. Our guarantee is to send the exact specimen that was purchased, however if you believe that you did not receive your "mined rock" please email us immediately.   

    *We photgraph all our rough material WET to show fine details, contrast, and inner coloring. Dry or untreated Rough Specimen colors and details will differ from those shown wet and/or polished. WE DO NOT OIL our rough specimens, we do not store them wet, we do not ship them wet.

Polished stones may have a mirror or matte shine depending on the specimen, and are sold as is. Color and sheen may vary due to lighting and monitor settings. WE DO NOT OIL our polished specimens, we do not store them wet, we do not ship them wet.
